Trachea Deviation
My Son is 2 year plus old. He is having a wheezing sound and breathless sound. After days of medicine, the doctor suggested chest Xray to be done. In Chest XRay it has been found that his trachea is deviated. Now the doctor has suggested the CECT Chest and 2D Echo. There is nothing much about this issue on the Internet for Kids. Can someone provide more information on this?

It’s better to take a second opinion before going for a CECT chest in a 2-year-old, since that involves radiation and sometimes sedation. On X-ray, tracheal deviation can sometimes appear just because of rotation or positioning and may not always mean a serious problem. If possible, please upload a picture of the X-ray so that it can be reviewed properly.
Next Steps
get a 2nd opinion.
Health Tips
Continue the prescribed medicines and watch your child’s breathing if it worsens, seek care promptly.
