My daughter is 2 year 7 months old, but she refuses to brush teeth if I add toothpaste, I used Chicco toothpaste. I think she dont like toothpaste with artificial flavors. Doctor, kindly suggest a toothpaste which she will easily accept.

Hello
Let child choose the toothbrush (color, cartoon character)
Start with just water brushing if needed – focus on routine
Gradually introduce a tiny smear (rice grain size) of flavored toothpaste
Involve child, Brush together
Use a toothbrushing song or timer (1–2 minutes)
Try reward charts
Next Steps
Just a smear (size of a rice grain)
Fluoride Toothpaste is Recommended: Prevents cavities, especially if sweet/snacking habits are present
Eg: Colgate kids
Health Tips
Don’t force brush—can create negative association
Don’t scold or threaten
Avoid spicy or minty pastes (too strong for toddlers)

Hello parent,
It is recommended to use a fluoride toothpaste after tooth has erupted. You can use any toothpaste but only a rice grain sized
Do just a tiny bit smeared over a tiny soft toothbrush. At least twice daily, for 2 minutes and on 2 surfaces - both inner and outer sides of teeth
For flavour fuss - a simple Colgate toothpaste ( not a gel) maybe more acceptable or you can try Colgate clove toothpaste if a natural flavour is acceptable. Often the gel forms of toothpaste are a bit nauseating for kids so a simple toothpaste might be all she needs
Next Steps
Only a rice grain sized fluoride toothpaste of any brand
