Toothache after rct done a year ago.
I had my rct done a year ago with filling done. All goes fine..Until a bit of extra pressure on the rct tooth occurs while chewing hard substances. The pain becomes unbearable after that. What should I do?

When u have done root canal Treatment to a tooth that means that tooth is dead, bcz aftr rct he cnt feel any pain or otr sensation, but cn be used to chewing.if u hv any pain that issue cn be due to many reasons like food getting struck btwm the cap and tooth surface or can even be  badly dne rct,u shd meet Ur doctr so that he can take a x-ray of that tooth and tell Ur what's exactly the issue.if it's the rct done badly then re rct has to be done..

Consult with a dentist

You need to get it checked to rule out a cracked tooth. RCT teeth should be capped as without a cap they can fracture under pressure.
Next Steps
Consult a dentist who will X-ray the tooth if required and guide you accordingly.
Health Tips
You can take a painkiller like dolo 650 to relieve your pain.

Please visit a dentist so that an x-ray of the tooth can be taken to ascertain the present condition. The next plan of action can be explained after that only. The treatment option can vary from cleaning of the gums to even root canal treatment being repeated. Regards.
