If there is an actual high point, you will not feel it "sometimes". Whenever the dentist will check the occlusion using articulating paper it is checked in centric relation which is the position in which both left and right sided back teeth meet simultaneously. Any eccentric movement of the Jaws will make you feel abnormal contacts at certain points which is not an abnormality in itself. More importantly, the feel of tooth vs tooth is different from the feel of tooth vs ceramic. So get used to it. If there is no abnormal discomfort during functional activities like chewing there is nothing to worry about. Nonetheless, regular check up with the dentist every 6 months will be an ideal practice and a practical suggestion as well. Regards.
