I have undergone root canal treatment for a tooth before one month and they have fixed it with cap. But now it is paining a lot.When I visited the doctor he said it was because of gum which got enlarged and he gave me the tablets.But the pain was still same I am not able to sleep

Root canal treated tooth should not pain.Please take an X ray to assess if everything is fine w.r.t root canal filling and cap.Surrounding bone can also be assessed.
