Sensitivity can be because of exposed surfaces of the tooth which can be because of a cavity, tooth fracture, tooth wear etc. Better to get a consult and an xray done for the concerned tooth as medications cant help much in this situation. Waiting for it to resolve on its own can aggravate the problem further.

Start warm salt water gargle 4 to 5 times per day, avoid too hot n too cold food for some days. Also avoid sour food like lemon etc. If symptoms persists contact a dentist.
Sensitivity that starts all of a sudden and is localised, can be acavity that has grown to such a degree that it is near the pulp.
Or if there is food lodgement it is due to an inflammation of the gums.
In both scenarios there is no over the counter medication that will give substantial releif.
Next Steps
better to visit a dentist and treat the root cause.
Hello
Since it is your first incident that you're feeling pain and sensitivity after having tea so first of all we need to see whether it is really pain or is it sensitivity. Just do warm saline rinses 3 to 4 times a day and evaluate if this occurs again and also is it specific to any particular tooth area or generalized sensitivity in the whole mouth because treatment will be decided on all these factors. If you feel that the pain stays for long say more than 3 or 4 days and it's discomforting you will definitely have to visit a dentist and get it properly checked so that it can be treated.
