There may some immidiate pain or tenderness in root canal treated tooth secondary to instrumentation and medicaments used which can irritate the tissue/bone adjacent to the tooth root. Please take the medication for about 3-4 days, if pain subsides it is good or you need to get back to your consultant.
Next Steps
Avoid chewing hard food using the treated tooth for about a weeks time.

Hello. Sometimes after root canal treatment, pain may persist for a few days ( about a week). If your pain does not reduce in intensity in next 2-3 days you should visit your dentist for a follow-up. Happy to help. Dr Zankhana Mody Mohile
