Helo mam,
Get x-ray (IOPA) of the concern region done to check for any rootstumps..
SOME OF THE TREATMENT OPTIONS ARE:
*4unit fixed bridge
*Dental implants
4 unit fixed bridges:
For this the adjacent natural teeth strength(crown:Root ratio) has to be checked...
This is most conservative one...
Types of bridge material..
**Metal ceramics
**zirconia
Metal ceramics:
Advantage:
*Aesthetically acceptable
*strength and durability due to metal component
*Better fit
*Reasonable price
DISADVANTAGE:
*Dark line on the tooth
*More tooth trimming is needed
Zirconia:
It is a METAL FREE CROWN made up of DIAMOND CRYSTALS
Advantages:
*Durability and aesthetics is better than metal ceramic
*Non allergic because of absence of metal component
*less trimming of tooth structure
It is little costlier than metal ceramics...
The choice of crown material depends upon your affordability
Dental implants:
It is a recent procedure..OPG AND CBCT has to be taken to access the bone condition...
It is the surgical procedure and it requires 6 months to fix single tooth....
Next Steps
kindly visit nearby dentists for further consultation and management as soon as possible.
You have three options and since at this point of time we can not ascertain where is this tooth (front or back) and what are conditions of adjoining teeth. It is very difficult to say what will work for you.
Good news is you have a solution for your condition and it is not time taking or very heavy on pocket.
Options
1. Get a 3 unit bridge. It's like three crowns joined together the middle one comes on the gap and side ones rest on the two teeth on the gap. Downside of this solution is the the teeth which on side of the gap will be shaped to fit the crown
2. Partial dentures: you can use that but they depending on where your teeth is this solution may or may not be right.
3. Dental Implants : just like a tooth root your implantologist will place an implant post once it fuses with the bone in 3-4 months a crown can be fixed. This is near natural solution for missing teeth.
Next Steps
See a prosthodontist, they are usually experts on all the three solutions.
