My 3.6 year old daughter is suffering from tooth decay. Pediatric dentist suggested root canal by giving GA. However, we are scrared of GA due to past experiences. Is there any alternative to GA and root canal. How safe is GA and what is the safe quantity to be administered for 3.5 year old.

It is recommended that if you do under GA please do in a hospital setting with an anaesthesiologist. Sometimes instead of root canal, a pulpotomy can be done under local anesthesia depending on the condition of the tooth.
