I broke my tooth recently when I fell from my bike. I don't think it's a big piece it's just chipped. I hurts when I drink cold water. I have a dentist appointment in a week. Is this urgent?

broken tooth can be filled with restorative materials.. you are having pain because of fracture your tooth's dentin is exposed and it gives you a sensitivity while having water...your problem will be solved after filling...

it is definitely urgent. ur dentist would take few x rays to make sure there is no infection r further fracture. if there is no infection they would proceed with simple tooth coloured restoration
