It's important for your grandmother to consult a healthcare professional or a dentist to properly diagnose and treat her toothache, especially considering her medical history and multiple conditions. They can provide appropriate recommendations based on her specific situation. In the meantime, if she has already taken over-the-counter pain relief medication such as Dolo (paracetamol/acetaminophen) and it hasn't provided adequate relief, it's best to avoid taking additional medication without professional guidance. Taking higher doses or combining medications without proper medical advice can be potentially harmful. Encourage your grandmother to contact her healthcare provider or dentist as soon as possible to seek appropriate treatment for her toothache. They will be able to assess the cause of the pain and recommend the most suitable pain relief options based on her medical conditions and any medications she is currently taking. It's important not to rely solely on self-medication for severe or persistent pain, especially in older individuals with underlying health conditions. Seeking professional medical advice is the best course of action in this situation.
