Tonsure for 5 months baby.
I am having 2 kids. Next month we are planning to do tonsure and ear piercing ceremony to my elder daughter (3 years old) in tirpuathi temple. Elders insisting me to do tonsure and ear piercing to my younger daughter also ( she is completing 5 months by next month). Is it safe for her? She is recovering from cold now

As both these procedures are done for religious reasons, I can't comment.
While tonsuring, make sure they are very careful for the younger child as the depression in the head ( anterior fontanelle ) is still open and very soft.
Ultimately it is your decision and how comfortable you are with this procedure. If any hesitancy, then plan it for later on.
