Yes no problem at all - head holding already there. Child can be made to sit with support, held up in lap or arms and even propped up in a bed/ chair / pram. All this is good
Next Steps
Encourage ‘tummy time’ - put the baby in prone position while he is awake and supervised - it will help develop the neck, shoulder and back muscles as well as strengthen the arm muscles. The baby will slowly learn to bear weight on the arms, sit up on his own, crawl and, of course, eventually walk
