Tonsillitis
Hi Doctor, Myself having tonsillitis problem for an year now. My throat is getting infected every 2 months once and getting slight fever plus joint pain. When I visited Ent doctors they are said it's because of tonsils and you need to get oprated if it is repeated problem. Can you please advise operation is the only solution? Also do I get joint pain while having tonsils?

If you have recurrent episodes of tonsillitis then it may be one of the option to go for surgery , And joint pain in some cases depends up on type of infection, need to rule out other causes for it

Medical line of management tonsillitis can be brought into control . Throat swab for bacteria which are resistant to antibiotics can be done. If the problem persists then tonsillectomy is advised
