Your symptoms are due to LPR (acid reaching throat), not ongoing infection; antibiotics won’t help unless clear bacterial signs are present. PPIs are not always lifelong.we will use them in a proper dose and duration, then try step-down with strict lifestyle changes.
Next Steps
early dinner, no lying down for 3 hours after meals, head-end elevation, avoid tea/coffee, spicy, oily food, late meals, and throat clearing
Health Tips
there is progressive breathing difficulty, true choking at night, weight loss, blood in saliva, or voice change then consult immediately

Repeated throat infection and tonsillitis with LPR, try to avoid outside food spicy food, antacids have to be continued as of now and physical activity is very very important. For repeated tonsillitis you might need tonsillectomy A sleep study is essential even after all these above measures fail to relieve you from breathing difficulty and throat infections
Next Steps
Physical activities Be very careful with your diet Breathing exercises Continue your antacids
