We may like to examine ur child for other muscle involvements. As far as isolated tip toe walking in this age , correction should be done on priority as it mat affect knee adversely. Its a small surgery with stay if 2 days and plaster s usually given for 5 weeks. After that child should be able to walk with brace.

We have to find the reason for tow walking. And why he is doing that. For that investigations like xray and emg is done. Depending on the results of the investigations we can decide whether there is a need for surgery. Till then physiotherapy can be continued for correction.
