U r having a condition callled Paronychia. It is a skin infection around the fingernails or toenails. It usually affects the skin at the base (cuticle) or up the sides of the nail. U will need a proper course of antibiotic medication depending on the severity of the infection. Corroborate with pictures and consult a Dermatologist for the same to prevent further progression of the infection.
