My son is 2.7 yrs old. He used to watch rhymes in mobile min 1hr - 2hrs everyday. Will it affect his eyes? Please suggest screen time duration for toddler? Before 2hrs of sleep am trying to not show him the mobile. Rarely he used to watch TV.

Show him rhymes on tv instead of mobile for as minimum as possible. Do check him early for glass if you parents have glass power.

During this time of the pandemic and online classes( for older children), it is difficult to avoid the screen time totally for kids. Up to 1 hour is ok, but it is better if you use the tv rather than the mobile. You can use a smart tv or a usb for playing rhymes on the tv. Also, the screen time should be in breaks. The child should have a good diet and also preferably have some period of outdoor play.

Watching too much of mobile is not good for any child of any age. Ideally you should avoid giving him mobile altogether. Much better to shift him to television. If at all he needs to watch the mobile, reduce it to less than 1 hr per day and that too not in one go

Will not recommend mobile option at all... Watching TV 1 to 2 hours is ok ... Also one checkup of child before 5 years is advisable for all children.

For small children, like yours, should avoid watching rhymes etc on devices. TV is a better option, since it is to be watched at a longer distance. Suggest you to engage him in indoor and outdoor games.
