TMJ pain... jaw joint
Hi, I am experiencing pain in the TMJ area. difficult to open the jaw wide. Can you please help me understand what are the reasons for this? and how can it be cured. Did not have any bruxism or jaw tightening which could be the reason but not in this case. please advise

Did you have any kind of trauma in the recent past.. That maybe the cause of your pain . There can be underlying infection in your wisdom tooth area which pain may radiate to your tmj and cause restricted movement and mouth opening difficulties.

You need to visit a nearby dentist to get your problem checked. You can have a muscle relaxant for a couple of days.

Avoid chewing very hard food and go for a soft diet. Avoid clenching your teeth too hard.
