Tired and disoriented if woken up early
My husband feels tired and disoriented if he wakes up earlier than his usual time. Even if he wakes up 1hr early or so. Is this normal or is there an underlying condition? Recently he's been complaining that he has to go to bathroom around 4 and after that he can't sleep. Rest of the day he says he's disoriented. I'm worried about this. He usually wakes up at either 5 or 6, sometimes if he slept late then he wakes up late. We have a 2 year old, so neither he nor me get any break during day time. Is this contributing to his condition? Thank you

What’s his age and weight ? Does he snore at night? Is his breathing abnormal during sleep.? When he gets up in the morning, is he sleepy or drowsy for some time? Is he sleepy during the daytime? While watching TV, does he doze off? If the answer is yes, then we need to rule out OSA (obstructive sleep apnea). Any burning during urination? Any fever? Is he a diabetic ?(under control?) Any stress, anxiety or depression? Should also rule out underactive thyroid.
Next Steps
Check FBS, CBP, CUE, TSH and review with reports. If he snores, then he should have a sleep study and follow up with physician or pulmonologist.
Health Tips
Avoid caffeine and alcohol before going to bed. Avoid watching mobile or TV during bedtime. Exercise and lose weight. Maintain sleep hygiene. If he’s overweight or snoring, he should sleep on the side and use an extra pillow.
