Hi, I am 42 year old male diabetic person & I am diabetic since 6 years. My Hba1c was 8.3% 4 months ago. I am taking Glucored Forte 1.5 morning & night. My doctor has suggested this new tab Tiptengio 25/5 MG. I am checking in Google that this tablet has side effects of urinary tract infections, please let me know if it does have it? If yes please let me know what tablet I need to put along with it to prevent it? Does it harm Kidneys? I get UTI if my sugar level increases? Please advice.

There are chances of UTI. Can be avoided if you was up properly after passing urine. I usually initiate the medication if the patient has no pre-existing UTI or known case of recurrent UTI. Reg. kidneys, the drug has some benefits towards the kidney and heart. It may also help reduce weight in some.
