Tinnitus after Rabivax S.

There is no accepted literature suggesting tinnitus to be caused by Rabivax S vaccine.There can be multiple causes for tinnitus and unless you rule them out to narrow down the cause, treatment will always be tricky and less effective. Your strong objection to a psychiatric consultation hints that somewhere down the line you have been advised about it. It becomes a vicious cycle- getting stressed because of tinnitus and tinnitus further increasing by stress.  Crux is that stress is known to increase tinnitus and certain drugs used in psychiatric disorders have known to show benefits on tinnitus. So, I don't think there is any harm in getting a consult for the same. Once ruled out you can take to another cause. The duration from which you are having this complaint as well as the first episode could give better insight. The possibility of confusing Rabivax with aminoglycoside is very unlikely and to get persistent tinnitus with single dose is less likely.

Be hopeful and focus on getting the cure. Getting a psych consult is not going to harm only help narrow down causes and treatment.
