During the first trimester there is organogenesis going on…meaning organs of the baby are formed during the first 12 weeks of gestation period
Taking Tinidazole during this period could affect the baby and hence is generally contraindicated during the first trimesters
For 2nd & 3rd trimester always start medication in consultation with your Obgy or physician
