Fasting is not required for thyroid function tests, unless you want to do other blood investigation along .it is recommended that your blood sample be collected before you take your dose for that day.Make sure thyroid function tests includes TSH,free T4 not total T4.Your doctor will alter the dosage according to the results.Thyroxine is a replacement hormone and it has to be taken continuously.
