I have high thyroid TSH count and am on 50 mcg tablet. I have been taking it for last one year. I am being told that it is lifelong treatment. Is that correct?

Yes it's usually life long... But dosage can be adjusted depending upon regular tsh levels.. Be in a regular fallow up with your treating doctor they will do the needful.
