I got my thyroid test done. And got Tsh-6.25
Seems to be high as the permissible range is 0-4.78 as mentioned in report.
I have no symptoms - no weight gain/loss
Not lethargic ,no dry skin.
Instead I am active enough.
please guide does it require any medication?
Or any regular checkup.

Hello.. ur report of TSH: 6.25 is just above the normal limit.. v can call it sub clinical hypothyroidism.. considering u don’t have any symptoms usually v don’t treat except in some conditions like..
Pregnancy
Infertility
Patient having neck swelling
Symptomatic
High cholesterol
Antibody rest positive
Next Steps
Can do anti TPO test, if normal can repeat after 6 weeks
Health Tips
Look out for raising TSH.. so repeat TSH after 6 weeks

Tsh of 6.2 is called subclinical hypothyroidism or borderline disease.. in case of Tsh between 4 to 10 we don’t directly give treatment. We need to confirm by doing a test called TPO antibodies.. if it comes positive only we give treatment to people with tsh between 4 to 10. And also we need to chek whether you have any thyroid swelling or not
So please consult Endocrinologist
Hello.. Your reports suggest u have subclinical hypothyroidism.. In such cases treatment decisions depends on other factors like symptoms of hypothyroidism, anto TPO antibodies, family history of hypothyroidism.. Menstrual irregularities.... So kindly do anti TPO and do online consultation with endocrinologist !!!
