Even if the last blood test value is within normal range, she needs to continue her medicine. Mention her body weight and height, also get her serum thyroid profile done and not just S. TSH. For further assistance/queries. Contact

**Specialist Doctor’s Response:**  **Re: Thyroid Management (TSH 2.26 on Thyronorm 75 mcg)**  Dear Patient,  Your wife’s thyroid levels have improved significantly (from TSH 7 to 2.26) with Thyronorm 75 mcg, which is a positive response. Here’s what you need to know:  ### **Key Recommendations:**  1. **Current Dose (75 mcg)**:     - **TSH 2.26** is within the *normal range* (0.5–5.0 mIU/L), but the ideal target for most patients is **1.0–2.5 mIU/L**.     - Since she recently achieved this level, *sudden dose reduction may cause fluctuations*.  2. **Next Steps**:     - **Continue 75 mcg for now**, but retest TSH **after 6–8 weeks** (not 3 months) to confirm stability.     - If TSH drops below 1.0 (risk of overmedication), reduce the dose to **50 mcg**.  3. **Monitor Symptoms**:     - Watch for *hyperthyroid signs* (palpitations, weight loss, anxiety), which suggest excess medication.  4. **Long-Term Management**:     - Thyroid needs *periodic dose adjustments* based on lab reports and symptoms. Avoid self-modifying the dose  **Consultation Needed**:  To tailor the dose precisely and rule out autoimmune thyroiditis (e.g., Hashimoto’s), **schedule a consultation**. Contact me on WhatsApp at **Eight Zero Zero Nine Eight Two One Three Three Two** for a detailed evaluation.
