Thyroid problem in pregnancy
I am 36 year old had my LMP on 13th April had my thyroid test done today with my t3, t4 in normal range but my tsh level is around 12. Want to know if it has affected the growth of my baby as I am not taking any medication for it. Had a DNC 1 and half year back at 10 months pregnancy reason being thyroid problem. Is it safe to continue my pregnancy by taking proper medications. Please help.

I need to supplement thyroid hormones as ur thyroid gland is working too much It has nothing to do with ur d n c procedure

In pregnancy, If your TSH level is high, you may have to support your thyroid with thyroid pill ( synthetic thyroid hormone) but you also want to address the root cause of the problem. In my experience, I have seen thyroid problems are secondary to liver, colon, kidney and adrenal weakness. Only popping thyroid pill without supporting your endocrine system and elimination pathways can cause stress to the baby . Find a good Gynaecologist who really understands the hormones and heals the body as integrated unit. Here are my few tips to support your thyroid gland naturally. The best way to improve your thyroid hormone production is by adding in certain foods to your diet that will support the thyroid and protect it from disruption. You can also choose to avoid certain substances that will have an adverse affect on your thyroid.  Coconut oil is high in saturated fat, lauric acid and medium-chain fatty acids. Most of the refined oils popularly used in cooking, baking etc have a negative impact on the thyroid. Adding some sea salt helps and so does bit D optimisation.
