Thyroid and Pregnancy
I had 5 weeks of pregnancy and I went for medical abortion and took my last pill on 06th Feb and bleeding continued till 12th Feb. I went for follow up scan which was normal and also had my last beta hcg test on 29th Feb which came to be <2. However since then, I did not had my periods. I also had unprotected sex on 14th March (no ejaculation happened inside ). I consulted a doctor on 18th March and I had my ultrasound done, which was normal and no remnants were found, hence the doctor started my meprate medicine for 5 days twice a day. Today is my 03rd day for taking the medicine. Also today I had my thyroid test which seems to be normal but not sure why my report is showing interpretation in terms of pregnancy trimester which was not there in the past report. Hope this does not indicate another pregnancy and my periods will start after stopping the consumption of meprate?

After having a medical abortion, you should not have intercourse for 12 weeks. Medical abortion can cause a regularity of periods who may have delay in periods for 2 to 3 cycles. You should take OCP that is oral contraceptive pill for 3 months. They will also prevent pregnancy and you will have your regular cycles thereafter
