Thyroid in pregnancy
Hi, i m 11 weeks pregnant. 34 years. I took blood test yesterday. Result shows T3 is 2.16 pg/ml, T4 is .96 ng/dl, Tsh 3.88mIU/ml. I don't have thyroid problem before. Kindly advice me have to take thyroid tablet for my tsh value. One more doubt, is this problem will continue even after delivery? Kindly clarify. Thank you.

Yes you need to take thyroxin  tab, new recommendations for tsh  level in pregnancy first trimester (11weeks) should be less then 2.5 your level is 3.88

No you don’t need thyroid treatment Latest guidelines says your Tsh level is ok

In most women thyroid problems wil normalise after pregnancy. Please make an online consultation or visit ur obgyn for thyroid medication
