Dear, Thumb ligament tear is something not to be taken lightly, can i know what was the nature of injury? By now it is 2 years, it must have retracted and or even fibrosed inappropriately, depending on extent of tear you may require surgical repair. (Unless untill examined clinically for instability and radiologically)
Next Steps
Please do a musculoskeletal ultrasonography atleast or MRI scan of your thumb area along with good quality (digital) xrays to know if bony injury is noticed
Health Tips
Share the images of usg or mri, if need be then can still repair/reattach the torn ligament using anchor sutures or if none of above then physiotherapy depending on whether it is your non dominant hand.
