Thumb Flexibility
I got hit by a Ball on my Left thumb exactly a year ago, went late to the doctor as entire city was under lockdown and doctor's were only taking serious cases, i did Scans but none were showing fracture all said some Minor Injury which is not visible may be very thin hairline crack, after few months one doctor advised me for Paraffin wax therapy, will it be useful ? as my thumb is not Flexible like it was before

Consultation with an Occupational therapist only will help ..this is may be a thumb IP's tendon injury along with hair line ..don't ignore this need splinting and proper Occupational therapy advices.

Paraffin wax therapy will helpful for flexibility, consult a physiotherapist they will assess your thumb and do prescribe a treatment plan according to your thumb's flexibility. Please do range of motion exercises to your thumb .

Yes, with wax the thumb can be again back normal movement. after wax therapy you will be suggestes with exercise as well, it will be helpfull.

Trigger point release therapy with muscle strengthening will help you to cure this problem.wax therapy according to me won’t be of much help now as it’s a chronic problem now.Dry needling will give quick results. Thanks,hope this helps you.
