I am 78 year old. I have been suffering from throat dryness for past 4 months. Saliva is not secreting properly. I have diabetes but it is in normal level.

Hello.. Dryness may be due to many factors, sometimes due to local causes or may be due to systemic causes. If possible you can come and show in the clinic to suggest u the possible remedy.

Inadequate water consumption may be a reason or dystrophy of thesalivary glands during old age can be a reason. Ruling out sialolith( a minor stone like formation which blocks the salivary duct connecting gland to mouth) should be ruled out as well. Please visit an oral pathologist for diagnosis and further treatment.
