Throat infection
I am facing a problem while swallowing and lot of pain in throat even ear also. Is there a permanent solution to throat infection. Should I undergo tonsil surgery or any other ways to solve. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As such there is no permanent solution or vaccine for throat pain. In case one is having repeated attacks then the source of infection has to be ascertained and treated. It could be tonsils which are chronically infected or it could be from the nose(sinusitis) or from the chest (lung infection or reflux disease). To rule these out please consult a ENT specialist directly for examining your throat etc. Tonsillectomy alone will only be helpful if the cause is in the tonsils. If the infection is coming from somewhere else then it would be needed to treat that first to avoid recurring problems even after Tonsillectomy
