Pain in thoracolumbar region  in young age for more than a year  can  be due to many causes ,we have to rule out - trauma Ankylosing spondylitis Osteomalacia or other conditions of spine U needs detailed evaluation for your correct diagnosis then only a long lasting solution can be found. How did the pain started..  since it is chronic pain, there may be several reasons for that.. Have you been on any medications for this pain.. Bcaknroller can be of help in some cases. Not sure if it would help you..
Next Steps
Start with hot fomentation,  use analgesics and local ointment for relieving pain.
