I recently got a Tetanus vaccine after being scratched by a street dog with muddy paws in the month of February or March. 3 to 4 days ago, I got a cut on my hand from a rusted door lock. The rust formed a layer of dust over the wound. Do I need to get another shot now, or am I still covered from the earlier dose?
Tetanus vaccine provides the protection for 5years and more so given your history of recent vaccination you do not need to get another dose of the vaccine.
Next Steps
Thoroughly clean your wound from dust using beta-dine.
