Ideal is to take the three doses of Tetanus Toxoid when you don't need it immediately. That gives you immunity for 5 years. If a person is exposed to such injury where the chance of getting Tetanus is very high then he needs Hyperimmune serum. Tetanus Toxoid will not have time to work. So you should look after the local treatment and dressing of the wound. Everything will be all right.
Now that you have taken one dose of Tetanus Toxoid, please follow it up with second dose after 6 weeks and third dose after 6 months.

Tetanus injection does not work on the spot.it is given as a prophylaxis.
Since the blade was clean so they did not give u immunoglobulin which is given if they suspect tetanus infection.
Yes the tetanus inj that gave will prevent tetanus infection that might happen if u get in contact with infected items in future
