Temperature difference
For my 6 month old baby when I check underarm temperature with stick thermometer it's shows 97.4 but when I check forehead temperature with gun thermometer then it shows 99.4 .. which one I should consider correct.. ?

Forehead temp by infrared is very erratic. Shouldn't be used as Values vary from site to site Also each time values can be different. So what is correct or ideal way Answer is noone knows So best is avoid using it at all. Due to high metabolic activity, children have high temperature especially on forehead. We need to measure the temp in armpit and if it is above 100F, then it is fever.
