Teeths protruding outside

My teeths are protruding outside and when I smile part of my gum along with teeths comes outside , which doesn't look nice . I am 27 year old female. Although it hadn't affected me any way in daily routine but wanted an opinion what to do . Should i go for cosmetic surgery or braces will work . What are pros and cons of the surgery and expenses
