Pain are of different types..sharp shooting or dull type.continuous pain or pain due to bite or chew or hot or cold liquid. Spread upto ear and head.or local pain only in teeth.so.. that what we ask frequently accordingly clinical investigation ir xray needed for further treatment. If you are too busy to visit doctor then can apply colgate painout.or nornal pain killer.but sure to visit dentist immediatly

Hi as u said u r having tooth ache since 4 days and is of a kind that u had to take medicine for that then definately there is a problem which needed to be examined..best diagnosis can only be made after having a clinical examination..otherwise some common problems of tooth ache are an erupting third molar if its a last tooth or any carious tooth having pulpal injury or pain due to any periodontal problem..best is visit a dentist for proper diagnosis best of luck..feel free to ask any further queries best of luck

We cannot elaborate on the problem without a proper clinical examination and an xray..... most likely you require root canal treatment for the tooth that is troubling you..... please consult a dentist as soon as possible to avoid irreversible damage to the tooth.... home remedies and self medications should be avoided in this case..... Regards....
