TB dedect, on medicine from last 2 month
TB dedicated in the month of Feb (24th) and taking medicine AKT 4 from 1st March and today visited for monthly check up and doctor has changed the medicine AKT 4 to RCinex (450+300)and Mycobutol 1000 without any test. He also told us TB is not spread if we had taken 15 day medicine and patient can do normal work. Plt suggest.

Hi.. From the details provided I understand that you have been diagnosed with TB and have completed 2 months of TB medicines. 1)As per standards, the total duration of TB treatment would be 6 months - 2 months of AKT4, followed by 4 months of Rcinex+Mycobutol. Unless there is a clinical worsening, there is no need for a full check up at the end of 2 months. 2) The chances of infectivity (spreading the disease) reduces once the treatment is taken for a minimum of 15 days. But this doesn’t mean that the disease is cured. You still have to complete the 6 months course. After this, the doctor has to certify that the treatment can be stopped. As you have taken 2 months of treatment, the chances of spreading to others is almost nil. So you can resume your normal activities.
