Tapering of antipsychotic
Sir I am confused by my doctor.my problem is bipolar disorder I am on lithosun sr morning and night  with risperidone..he taperd risperidone 3mg to 2mg to 1mg to 0mg in the gap of 2months...i have been using risperidone since 5years he saw my response and tapered it I am afraid about risperidone tapering is bit early from 1mg to 0 (2months ) no w I am facing severe headache sweating and some delusions will my stage be stable after some days Or i ll get rebound... Not worrying jst to have clarification...

Don't worry.....trust your doctor and be happy for reduced medicines as doctor will weigh the advantages and disadvantages of dose reduction before reducing it.
