Taking Modafinil for excitement
Hi doc! My psychiatrist advised me modalert 200mg for keeping me alive and excited.. and I am feeling excited and super confident using this drug. It's been two years since I am on this drug. Whenever, if I stop taking this drug, I am feeling low, as if I am drained of all vitality. Please counsel me whether I should continue this drug..

This is something you should discuss with your psychiatrist. This will also depend on your diagnosis. Modafinil does have done propensity to cause dependence but this low that you feel might be related to the underlying condition that you are taking your treatment for.
