Tachycardia
Hi, My heart beat is above 80 most of the times. And sometimes at constant 100 .. especially after food. I had an echo done. It showed tachycardia but no abnormalities other than that.. sometimes after food my heart races . What could be the issue here... How can I lower it...since it's little scary.. Thanks

It seems like one is becoming conscious of heart rate or pulse rate during these covid times! Please be advised that the heart rate is a dynamic-that means it changes time to time and generally it’s declared by its own generator-sinus node. And it’s modified by the autonomic nervous system which has two branches and they work in cooperation! Any challenge like your eating is perceived as an activity requiring more blood supply to the gut and temporarily the rate may increase. With training people are able to control the degree of response. Like athletes: check out this term -athletes heart in google. So allow the heart to do it’s job. You may try and train it to respond by subdued responses. As for as I can see your query that the tests are normal and still you have tachycardia; it’s with in normal range! Do not worry unnecessarily and get stressed. You may consider taking another clinical consultation if you can for clearing your doubts
