Swollen lymph nodes
I had swollen lymph node for 8 months. One in neck and one in inguinal region. Size is 1.2*0.7cm in neck and groin node is smaller but palpable. First neck node swelled after one month the groin node came up. Fnac done two times of neck node but both came with similar results that is reactive hyperplasia. Now im going for excisional biopsy of neck node. Do i need to excise groin node as well or one is enough. What should i do

1. If you are lean and thin built, then it is likely possible that your normal lymph nodes are palpable in these region (because there is no subcutaneous fat [like me]). In that case you need not to worry at all neither they need any treatment nor there is any cure. They will continue to be felt at those sites rest of you life until you gain significant weight. 2. If that is not the case, then biopsy of the larger lymphnode, preferably a neck node or even both can be biopsied in same sitting. 3. Get a chest x ray, ESR, Montoux test done.
