What age of your mother? See in old age if it's on both legs it due to progressive cardiac failure.  Out heart becomes weak with age it happens to everyone we are mortals. Secondly if you want complete diagnosis why its happening. I would like to suggest you 1) ECHO for heart 2) KFT with GFR values. 3) LFT 4) TFT

Hello I really appreciate ur concern for ur mother . Actually this is good u r asking this question Your mother is 60 year old and u noticed swelling legs . There are so many conditions associated with that , if ur mother is taking any tablets like for blood pressure or Diabetes( sugar tablets ) kindly go the physician . And if she feels uneasy or any breathing abnormalities kindly go as soon as possible .
