Swollen gum
Due to excessive plaque accumulation, I have developed a swollen gum in my lower jaw. The excessive plaque accumulation is despite brushing and using mouth wash twice a day.

Hello, swollen gums could be because of deposits on teeth surface or food lodged in between teeth. Visit a dentist and get your scaling and polishing done. Brush your teeth twice daily, Night brushing is very important. Floss regularly. Rinse after every meal. Visit dentist every 6 months.

Plaque accumulation is a routine phenomena.  Daily twice brushing helps to overcome plaque. Cumulation of plaque leads to gingivitis/ swollen gums n bleeding. Get checked from dentist n do a thorough oral prophylaxis.

Full mouth scaling should be done followed by medication ,gum paints etc

The excessive plaque accumulation would be due to improper brushing and/or improper positioning of your tooth/teeth.Visit you dentist.

Hi,Please get a professional teeth cleaning done to remove the plaque because of which gum is swollen .The cleaning has to be done 6 monthly to yearly.Also brush twice daily & use a mouthwash.
