It can be any of the following - 1. Hemorrhoids 2. Anal skin tag with inflammation 3. Perianal abscess in early stage 4. Anal fissure. You can try sitz bath to get relief from pain. Take a tub and fill the tub with lukewarm water and dip your buttocks into it for 10-15 mins. You can try escot MS cream to relieve pain. For further assessment kindle consult a general surgeon near you.

Based on the appearance: Most likely diagnosis: PERIANAL BOIL / FURUNCLE (early abscess) The features that match: • Localized round swelling • Skin looks stretched and shiny • Slight yellow tip → pointing abscess / pus under skin • Pain only on touch (common in early boil) • 3–4 day duration This does NOT look like: • Hemorrhoid/pile → those are soft, inside or at anal verge, but can present like this in case of 3rd and 4th grade piles • Anal fissure → very painful, tear-like • Fistula → usually has an opening with discharge • HPV warts → different shape This looks like a simple infected hair follicle → boil near the anus. IS THIS SERIOUS? Right now, it looks early and small, but perianal boils can worsen quickly because: • Skin is moist • Bacteria load is higher • Friction while walking If it grows, it can turn into a perianal abscess, which might require drainage.
Next Steps
Follow these steps today itself: 1. Hot Sitz Bath • Sit in warm water (not hot) for 10–15 minutes • 2–3 times daily This reduces pain and helps pus come to the surface. 2. Apply Ointment Apply Mupirocin 2% ointment (T-Bact) • 2–3 times per day This directly kills skin bacteria. 3. Pain control If needed: • Ibuprofen 400 mg after food (if you have no gastric issues) 4. Avoid squeezing Do NOT pinch or press the swelling → can worsen infection. 5. Prefer: • Amoxicillin–Clavulanic acid 625 mg 1 tablet twice daily for 5 days OR • Cefixime 200 mg twice daily for 5 days
Health Tips
Please go to a general surgeon within 24–48 hours if ANY of these happens: • Swelling increases • Pain increases • Redness spreads • Fever develops • Pus starts coming out • You have diabetes (important!) Sometimes a small cut (incision and drainage) gives instant relief.

It is a pile. This is a common problem. Make sure you are not becoming constipated as straining to pass the motion makes it worse. If needed take a laxative like dulcolax for a few days. Please see a local surgeon, they can do a simple procedure called banding that can give some relief. Piles do keep coming back after treatment. So important to keep motions regular and avoid becoming constipated. All the best. J G S R

The swelling near the anus looks like an early perianal abscess or inflamed external hemorrhoid. Since pain is mild, it appears to be in the early stage.
Next Steps
• Warm sitz bath 2–3 times daily • Amoxiclav 625 mg – 1 tab twice daily × 5 days • Mupirocin ointment externally twice daily • Syrup Lactulose 15 ml at bedtime to avoid straining
Health Tips
Avoid hard stools and avoid scratching the area. If swelling increases or becomes very painful, you may need a quick physical examination.

From the images and your description, this looks like a localized swelling near the anal margin, most commonly caused by: ✔ Thrombosed external hemorrhoid (a small clot inside a vein, usually painful if touched) ✔ Perianal skin tag getting inflamed ✔ Early perianal abscess (usually becomes painful over time) ✔ Less often, an infected hair follicle or cyst Since it has been 3 days, is mildly painful, and the swelling is well-defined, this needs proper evaluation to decide whether: It will settle on its own You need local care only Or it requires a small drainage procedure (only if it progresses) At this stage, I cannot give any medicine without a full assessment because the exact cause changes the treatment completely. If you want, I can review the photos properly in a private consultation and guide you step-by-step on: what this swelling actually is how to reduce it faster what to avoid so it doesn’t worsen whether any procedure is needed or not A short detailed consult will make sure you don’t take the wrong treatment and avoid complications. You can book a private consultation with me on whatsapp at nine three two six zero two zero five three six, I’ll assess everything clearly and guide you properly.
