Swelling in Foot post Knee Cast Removal
Its been 2 days since the long leg cast was removed (Right Knee Fracture). Weight bearing has been started and a splint is being used to avoid pressure on the knee joint. There is significant swelling near the ankle after 2 days of walking. Is this normal ? How to manage the swelling?

Yes, it is normal to an extent. Can be managed by active limb movement and limb elevation.

Minimal swelling is ok.  But in case the swelling is too much ,  please revisit your doctor urgently. Meanwhile please keep your leg up on two pillows. Avoid your hanging your leg down for long periods of time
