Swelling behind knee after knee twisted
Hello During my kickboxing class, I had a minor knee twist and there feels like a muscle pull and swelling at the back of my knee...the pain is more aggravated in stretching or straightening the leg. Please advise Many thanks

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. However I would like to examine & investigate you  in detail. Control  Hypertension, Diabetes or any other metabolic disorder, if there is  any. Any way it may be tried, --. Dolokind Plus (Mankind) [Aceclofenac100 mg +Paracetamol 350 mg] 1 tab. OD & SOS. X 5 days. --. Caldikind plus  (Mankind) 1 tab OD x 10 days. (You may need help of your local doctor to get these medicines.) --. Fomentation with warm water. Let the part not be exposed to cold. --. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding. --. Use a pillow under the ankle. --. Avoid painful acts & activities. -- .Do mild exercises for knees and ankles and feet. --.(Take help of a  physiotherapist). --Do not ignore, let it not become beginning of a major problem. --Do ask for a detailed treatment plan. Follow simple things before like painkillers,rest and physiotherapy later for 2 to 3 weeks. I think this is the first aid  what your kick boxing  coaching team provides you following these sort of injuries which are common in kick boxing.  Allow full weight bearing on the lower limb as able. If no better after 3 weeks get an MRI scan and see a Orthopaedics surgeon.

Apply ice packs and then give rest..mostly a muscle strain or a cushion tear

This could be due to meniscal injury or a muscle spasm, you need evaluation by an orthopaedic surgeon
